ZArchiver is an archive manager for Android. If you need to unpack an archive on Android, ZArchiver is most likely already in your friends' possession. More than 100 million installs is not marketing, but a real indicator that the application is doing its job.

The functionality here is without gaps: creating archives in 7z, zip, tar, gz, zst and other formats, unpacking more than 30 formats — from the usual rar and iso to exotic dmg and deb. Password—protected archives, multi-volumes, partial unpacking, editing of contents - everything is in place.

The interface is not trying to impress you. It just works: minimalism, dark theme, E-Ink mode for reader owners. You can figure it out in a couple of minutes without Googling.

Separately, the attitude towards privacy is encouraging — the application does not have access to the Internet at all. No telemetry, no "product improvements" at your expense.

But not without rough edges. Some users encounter errors when working with application data folders, and the last update is dated June 2024 — development is clearly not in full swing.

The 3.9 rating with 1.4 million reviews is an accurate reflection of the essence: a strong working tool without claims to the title of the best.
