Not everyone has a flagship phone with tens of gigabytes of storage in their pocket. For those occasions, Google released Gmail Go—a compact version of the email client that takes up minimal space without sacrificing functionality where it really matters.
Essentially, the app does the same thing as the full-featured Gmail, only lighter. Emails are automatically categorized, keeping personal messages separate from promotions and social notifications. Spam is filtered before they reach your inbox. With 15 GB of storage, you can go years without worrying about cleaning your inbox. You can manage multiple email accounts simultaneously, both from Google and third-party providers, using standard protocols. Reading and composing emails works even without a network connection, and sending occurs once the connection is restored.
It collects a significant amount of user dаta: geolocation and about ten other categories of information, although the developer claims it will not share it with third parties.
The weak point is stability on certain device models; the app may crash when opening emails, and folder counters sometimes show incorrect numbers. The app hasn't received updates in a long time.
A reasonable choice for devices with limited resources.
